Mike Thulen, SR., Community Leader, Job-Creator and Advocate for Veterans, Seniors, and Those with Special Needs, Officially Files for Ocean County Commissioner
Brick, NJ – Mike Thulen Sr., has filed the required paperwork and petitions to be placed on the ballot as a candidate for the office of Ocean County Commissioner in the upcoming Republican Primary to be held on June 8, 2021.
Thulen submitted 235 petitions – more than double amount required – and offered the following statement in conjunction with his strong show of support from Ocean County voters:
“I have had the honor of serving Ocean County in many significant areas – as a businessman, elected official, and founding supporter of needed charitable causes – and my combined real-world experience and civic leadership have prepared me well to serve Ocean County as its new commissioner.
My passion to do this job is fueled by the need for someone to aggressively promote economic growth in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic that has affected all of us in ways big and small and I am running to ensure all residents can enjoy the highest possible quality of life in the many wonderful communities we call home in Ocean County.
I will endeavor to do so by:
- Bringing new jobs to Ocean County,
- Holding the line on taxation for Ocean County residents,
- Ensuring infrastructure meets Ocean County’s growing needs, and
- Preserving our public greenspaces through smart-growth policies.
As a commissioner, I am committed to the idea of keeping Ocean County at the top of the list of places to reside, work, and start your business in. My interests in serving as your commissioner are to focus solely on the future of Ocean County and our residents.
If you believe, as I do, that we can make our great county better with new jobs, stable taxes, improved infrastructure, and clean spaces for all residents to enjoy healthy lives, then I ask not only for your vote, but to join my campaign for Ocean County’s future.”
Mike closed his comments by announcing his intention to begin meeting voters throughout Ocean County in the coming weeks to hear their thoughts and discuss the ways in which progress can be made on the important issues’ residents will consider as they head to the polls on June 8.
